Long, long ago…in a far, far away land (okay, maybe not THAT long or THAT far, but you get the jist)…

I’ve always been the fixer, the buffer, the mediator, the negotiator, the servant leader, the caregiver, and the best dang cheerleader…for others. But, I forgot to pass along some of that love I needed most in this world to little ole me.

I had been living my whole dang life for everyone else.

Can you help me pack up to move? Yes.

Can you help me with setting up my computer? Yes.

Can you take my kids to their gymnastics practice tonight? Yes.

Can you hold my parrot while I run in and grab a drink? Yes. (and don’t let the smile fool ya…I’m terrified of birds!)

Can you run the Savage Race with me? Yes.

Can you be there for the birth of my second child (even though we just met)? Yes. 

What I began to realize was saying “yes” to everyone else all the time was leaving me more often than not saying “no” to me, my business, and what I REALLY wanted to do with my time if I ever had any to spare!

Until I realized something…
saying “yes” to everyone but myself and my business is so not the answer…

 So, I decided to do something  drastically different… and at first, I’ll admit, it felt really selfish, but I pushed through my fears and did it anyway. I added “me” to the list of things I said “yes” to every day.

 

Now, I choose things that bring me freedom, flexibility, and  more fun time to spend how I’d like.

    Hub & Spoke

    Minimize your company’s dependence on your personal every day involvement by surveying your employees and identifying areas where additional training, systems or processes are needed

    • The Delegator | This exercise allows you to hone your delegation skills by taking you through a framework for delegating activities effectively

    The Envelope Test

    In Module 12 the Envelope Test will help you articulate your goals for your business and your life
